Fiddler on the Roof

This image is well-known all over the world. In spite of the fact that there is no mentioning about him in the Bible, we can recognize him in the writings of the many prophets of the Bible. This image represents a Jew of diaspora, one of those who are expatriated from their Promised Land and scattered all over the world. Jewish roots were the Scriptures, and to be a Jew with no roots, a Jew without his traditions is the same as to be a fiddler on the roof.
